Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how Smite Termite & Pest Control LLC (“Smite,” “we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit smitepest.com, request a quote, or contact us by phone, text, or email.

The short version

• We collect what you give us (like your name, phone number, and address) so we can quote and provide pest control service.
• We do not sell or rent your personal information, and we don’t share it for targeted advertising.
• This website does not set tracking or advertising cookies. Our analytics are cookieless.
• You can ask us to see, correct, or delete your information at any time.

Information we collect

Information you give us

When you submit a quote request, call, text, or email us, we may collect:

• Contact details: name, phone number, and email address
• Service location: street address or city
• Request details: the pest issue, service type, preferred contact method, your message, any photos you text us, and whether you checked the box to receive texts

Only name, phone, and address/city are required on the form (plus your email if you choose Email as your contact method). That’s what we need to prepare an accurate quote.

Information collected automatically with your request

• Page and lead source: the page you submitted the form from and how you found us (for example, a link tagged “google” or “truck,” the website that referred you, or “direct”). To remember this between visits, the site saves a small value named smite_lead_source in your browser’s local storage. It is not a cookie. It stays in your browser until you clear your site data for our website, and it leaves your device only if you submit a form. Then it is sent with your request to us and to the service providers listed under “How we share information” (Netlify, which screens submissions for spam with Akismet; Zapier; and our email provider). It is never sold or used for advertising.
• Technical details: your IP address, browser and device type (user agent), the address of the page you submitted from, and the date and time. Our form provider (Netlify) records these with your request and checks them with its spam-filtering partner (Akismet), and our notification service (Zapier) and email provider may receive them.

Website analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to understand overall traffic, such as page views, referring websites, browser type, approximate country, and page-load speed. It is cookieless, does not use local storage, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not track you across other websites. We see only aggregate reports, never individual visitors.

Hosting and security logs

Our website is hosted by Netlify. Like any web host, Netlify processes standard technical data such as IP address, browser type, and requested pages to deliver the site and keep it secure. The IP address and browser type are also stored with each form submission, as described above.

Cookies and similar technologies

We do not use advertising, retargeting, social-media, or cross-site tracking cookies. The only browser storage the site uses is the first-party smite_lead_source value described above. Fonts and images are served from our own website, not from third-party font or ad networks. Because we don’t use tracking cookies, we don’t show a cookie consent banner. If we ever add advertising or analytics tools that use cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent first where required.

Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control: Our site does not track visitors across other websites, and no third party collects information about your online activity over time or across websites through our site. Because there is no tracking to turn off, we treat visitors who send Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signals the same as every other visitor. We do not sell or share personal information. If we ever add tools that share data for advertising, we will treat a Global Privacy Control signal as a request to opt out of that sharing.

How we use your information

• Respond to your quote request and answer your questions
• Schedule, provide, and follow up on pest control service
• Contact you by your preferred method (phone, text, or email)
• Understand which advertising and outreach channels bring in customers (using lead source)
• Keep business, licensing, and treatment records required by law
• Protect our website and business from spam, fraud, and abuse

Text messaging (SMS)

If you give us your phone number, we may call you about your quote request and service. We text you if you check the “Text me” box on our form, choose Text as your contact method, or text us first. Texts are about your request and service, such as quotes, appointment confirmations, arrival notices, and follow-ups about the service you requested. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of any purchase. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or HELP for help. You can also opt out by telling us in any other reasonable way, such as calling us or replying “stop texting me.”

We do not share your mobile number or text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We never sell, rent, or share your mobile number or text-messaging opt-in and consent with anyone for their own marketing. Your mobile number and text-messaging consent are used only by us and by the service providers that process our quote form and deliver messages (Netlify, Zapier, our email provider, and our phone carrier), and only to handle your request. Your text-messaging opt-in and consent are not included in any business transfer.

How we share information

We share personal information only with service providers that help us run the business and only so they can do that work for us:

• Netlify: website hosting and quote-form processing, including spam filtering (Netlify screens submissions with its spam-filtering partner, Akismet)
• Zapier: routes new quote requests to the owner’s phone so we can respond quickly
• Our email and phone providers (including GoDaddy / Microsoft 365 for email): deliver messages between you and us
• Cloudflare: cookieless, aggregate website analytics

We may also disclose information if required by law, to respond to legal process, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of our customers, our business, or others. If the business is ever sold or transferred, customer records may transfer to the new owner under this policy (text-messaging consent excepted, as described above).

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.

How long we keep it

We keep customer service and treatment records (such as your name, service address, and what was treated) for at least as long as Arizona pest management rules require, currently three years after each service, and longer if we need them for tax records or an active service agreement. Quote requests that don’t lead to service are deleted from our website form system, email, and text messages within 12 months. You can ask us to delete yours sooner at any time (see “Your choices and rights”).

Your choices and rights

No matter where you live, you can ask us to:

• Tell you what personal information we have about you and give you a copy
• Correct information that’s wrong
• Delete your information, except records we must keep by law
• Stop contacting you by phone, text, or email (reply STOP to any text)

Email bryce@smitepestcontrol.com or call (623) 363-3124. We may need to confirm your identity before acting on a request, and we will respond within 30 days. We won’t treat you differently for making a request.

Security

The site is served only over encrypted HTTPS, and access to quote requests is limited to the owner and to the people and service providers who help us run our website and form tools, each only as needed to do that work. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. Please don’t send sensitive information such as payment card or Social Security numbers through the website form.

Children’s privacy

Our website and services are intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as our business or the law changes. The “last updated” date above shows the current version. If we make a material change, such as adding cookies that need consent, we’ll post it here before it takes effect.
