One of the most common questions we get is simple: how often do I actually need pest control? The honest answer depends on your home, your yard, and what's showing up. Here's how our three options work and how to think about choosing between them.
The three options at a glance
We offer three ways to set up service. All of them are quoted, usually the same day, and the quote is free.
- One-time service. A single interior and exterior visit, backed by a 30-day guarantee.
- Monthly protection. An exterior barrier every month, plus free re-service between visits if pests show up. This is our most popular plan.
- Bi-monthly protection. An exterior barrier every other month, timed to desert seasons.
The biggest practical difference: free re-service between visits is included only with the monthly plan. Bi-monthly and one-time service don't include it.
You can see the plans side by side on our plans page.
When one-time service makes sense
A one-time visit is a good fit when you have a specific, short-term problem and no ongoing pressure.
- You're moving into a home and want a clean start before unpacking
- You saw an ant trail or a few roaches and want them handled
- You're getting a house ready to sell or rent
- You want to see how we work before committing to a plan
Bryce treats inside and out, and the visit is backed by a 30-day guarantee. The limitation is that desert pests don't stop coming. Once the treatment breaks down, nothing is maintaining the barrier.
When monthly protection makes sense
Monthly is the plan we recommend most often in the West Valley, and there are clear reasons for that.
Scorpion pressure
Bark scorpions are active through the warm months, roughly spring through fall. They're tough to control, and homes near open desert, along washes, or with lots of rock landscaping and block walls tend to see steady activity. A barrier refreshed every month holds up better against that kind of pressure. See our scorpion control service for more on how we approach them.
Free re-service between visits
If you see activity between monthly visits, Bryce comes back to re-treat at no charge. For households where a scorpion in the bedroom is a real concern, especially with kids or pets, that matters.
Monsoon season
Monsoon storms flush pests out of the ground and push them toward homes. Crickets, roaches, and the scorpions that hunt them all get more active. Monthly service keeps the barrier current through those swings.
Monthly is usually the right call if:
- You live near open desert or a new build area
- You've found bark scorpions inside more than once
- You have young children or pets and want the free re-service
- Your yard has lots of irrigation, citrus, or dense landscaping
When bi-monthly protection makes sense
Bi-monthly service gives you a regular exterior barrier with visits every other month, scheduled around the desert seasons. It works well for homes with lighter, more predictable pest activity.
Bi-monthly is often a good fit if:
- You're in an established neighborhood away from open desert
- You mostly see occasional ants, cockroaches, or spiders, not scorpions
- Your yard is low-maintenance with limited irrigation
- You're comfortable handling the occasional bug between visits
Keep in mind that bi-monthly plans do not include free re-service. If something shows up between visits, a return trip is scheduled separately. If you find you're calling between visits often, that's usually a sign monthly would be a better fit.
Picking the right plan
Questions to ask yourself
If you're on the fence, these questions usually settle it.
- Are you seeing scorpions? If yes, especially indoors, lean monthly.
- How close is open desert? Homes on the edge of development see more of everything.
- What does your yard look like? Rock beds, block walls, woodpiles, citrus, and heavy irrigation all add harborage.
- Who lives in the house? Small kids and pets make free re-service more valuable.
- How much activity is acceptable to you? Some people don't mind a cricket in the garage. Others want nothing inside.
What stays the same on every plan
No matter which option you pick, the person who shows up is Bryce, the owner. There's no rotating tech and no call center. He uses kid and pet friendly products and gives you honest findings without scare tactics. If your home doesn't need monthly service, he'll tell you.
Termite work is separate from these plans. It's quoted after a free inspection. You can learn more on our termite control page, and our general pest control service page covers what a regular visit includes.
When to call
Not sure which plan fits? Ask. Quotes are free and usually same day, and you can text a photo of what you're seeing to (623) 363-3124. Bryce owns the company and does the work himself, so you'll be talking to the person who'll actually be at your house. You can also reach us through our contact page.
